Jasson Casey, PhD
Chief Executive Officer

Jasson is a visionary leader renowned for his cybersecurity and technological innovation expertise. As the co-founder and CEO of Beyond Identity, he spearheads the company's mission to democratize access to a safer, more connected future.

Before his role at Beyond Identity, Jasson served as the Chief Technology Officer at Security Scorecard, leading the engineering and product teams in advancing the company's robust platform. He was also the Vice President of Engineering at IronNet Cybersecurity, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of their technology initiatives.

He has served as a Visiting Fellow at the National Security Institute (NSI) and a Cybersecurity Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).

Jasson holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas, providing a solid foundation for his career in technology and cybersecurity.

Kurt Johnson
Chief Strategy Officer

As Chief Strategy Officer and head of Corporate Development Kurt heads up Beyond Identity’s strategic growth initiatives, technology alliances, and strategic partnerships. Previously Kurt was VP of Strategic Partnerships for GreatHorn, GM of Emerging Products and Head of Alliances for FastPay, SVP Marketing & Corporate Development at AnchorOps, VP of Strategy & Corporate Development for Courion Corporation, and was an industry analyst with META Group (acquired by Gartner) and IDC. Kurt currently serves on the Board of Cambridge Savings Bank and holds a BS degree from Boston College.

Head of Product

Louis is the Head of Product at Beyond Identity where he works to deliver on Beyond Identity’s mission of protecting the livelihood of their customers. Over the past 25 years Louis has built companies, teams, and products in quantitative trading, IP telephony, data analytics, manufacturing, and cybersecurity.

Sarah Cecchetti
Director of Platform Product

Sarah is the Director of Platform Product for Beyond Identity, joining after five years at AWS Identity. In her career, she has co-founded a professional organization for identity practitioners called IDPro. She is a contributor to NIST 800-63-C Digital Identity Guidelines and O'Reilly's "97 Things Every Cloud Engineer Should Know." She was named one of the 25 titans of identity by Okta Ventures. She has spoken on information security at the RSA Conference, and keynoted Identiverse and Authenticate Conference. She has been quoted as an industry expert in The LA Times, Forbes, and Wired.

Chris Duffy
VP, Finance and Operations

Chris joins Beyond Identity having held key roles leading the finance function of early and late-stage software startups. Most recently, Chris was VP of Finance at Nautilus Labs, a maritime technology startup, prior to its acquisition in late 2023.

Prior to Nautilus Labs, Chris led Strategic Finance and FP&A at Transfix, a leading logistics technology company. Earlier, Chris was in strategic finance at Amazon, an M&A investment banker at Perella Weinberg Partners, and in various FP&A roles at CSX, a Fortune 250 freight railroad operator. 

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Florida and an MBA from Emory University and resides in the Upper West Side of NYC.

Jim Clark
Chairman and Co-Founder

Jim Clark is an American entrepreneur and computer scientist. He has founded several notable Silicon Valley technology companies, including Silicon Graphics, Inc., Netscape Communications Corporation, myCFO, Healtheon, Applied DNA Sciences, CommandScape, and Beyond Identity. Jim earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in physics from The University of New Orleans, and a PhD in computer science from The University of Utah.

Taher Elgamal, PhD
"Father of SSL"

Dr. Taher Elgamal is an internationally respected information security leader and cryptographer. Dr. Elgamal was the recipient of the lifetime achievement award from RSA Conference in 2009. Dr. Elgamal has successfully served as CISO, Chief Scientist, CTO, as well as founder and CEO of numerous key organizations. Dr. Elgamal invented several industry and government standards in data security and digital signatures for areas including the DSS government standard for digital signatures. Dr. Elgamal is recognized in the industry as the “father” of SSL.

Hilarie Koplow-McAdams
Venture Partner, NEA

An enterprise software veteran, Hilarie has spent the past three decades at growth-stage technology companies in operating and board roles. More recently, Hilarie served as President at New Relic as well as at Salesforce, and was Vice President of Direct Sales for small business and a member of the executive committee at Intuit. Hilarie started her career at Oracle Corporation where she held a variety of roles over the course of 18 years, including Senior Vice President of Oracle Direct. Hilarie currently serves on the board of directors of BloomReach, DataRobot, HackerOne, Knotch, and Zendesk Corporation, among others. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from The University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from Mills College.

Co-Founder

A longtime collaborator with Jim, TJ has served as President and COO of Silicon Graphics, Inc., Founding Chairman and CEO of @Home Network, General Partner at Kleiner Perkins, CEO of Hyperion Development Group, and founded nine companies, including Beyond Identity, HiCMOS, AOptix, and SmartPipes. TJ attended Virginia Tech.

‍Forest Baskett
General Partner, NEA

Forest joined NEA (New Enterprise Associates) in 1999 as a Venture Partner and became a General Partner in 2004. Forest focuses on information technology investments and serves on the Board of Directors for several private and public companies. Some of his investments that became public companies include Atheros Communications, Audience, Data Domain, Fusion-io, and Tableau Software. Prior to NEA, Forest served as Senior Vice President of R&D and Chief Technology Officer of Silicon Graphics Inc. Forest founded and directed the Western Research Laboratory of Digital Equipment Corporation before joining SGI. Prior to that, Forest was a Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. Forest received a Bachelor of Mathematics from Rice University and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Forest is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.

Jasson received a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a PhD in computer engineering from Texas A&M University.

Jarrod Benson
CIO, Koch Business Solutions, LP and Global CISO, Koch Industries

Jarrod Benson is responsible for the information security strategy, operations, and cyber-risk for Koch Industries and its subsidiaries. Additionally, Jarrod serves as the CIO of Koch Business Solutions, LP (KBS), where he provides leadership, planning and strategy for Koch's global shared services organization. Jarrod has held multiple leadership positions in information technology at Koch. Based in Wichita, KS, Koch Industries, Inc. is one of the largest private companies in America with estimated annual revenues as high as $115 billion, according to Forbes. It owns a diverse group of companies involved in refining, chemicals, and biofuels; forest and consumer products; fertilizers; polymers and fibers; process and pollution control equipment and technologies; electronics; information systems; commodity trading; minerals; energy; glass; ranching; and investments.

Timothy L. Callahan, CISSP, CISM, CRISC
Senior Vice President, Global Security; Chief Security Officer

Tim Callahan joined Aflac in 2014, bringing more than 30 years of experience in information and physical security, business resiliency, and risk management. Tim was promoted to his current role in January 2016, where he is responsible for directing Aflac’s global security strategy and leading the information security, business continuity, and disaster recovery functions across the company to prioritize security initiatives and allocate resources based on appropriate risk assessments.

Prior to joining Aflac, Tim served as Senior Vice President of Business Continuity and Information Assurance for SunTrust Banks, Inc. Tim also held leadership positions at People’s United Bank.

Tim served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and earned an associate’s degree from the Community College of the Air Force and a bachelor’s degree from the University of the State of New York, Albany.

Marcos Christodonte II
Global CISO, CDW

Marcos Christodonte II is the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at CDW. Marcos has held a series of CISO and global security leadership roles across a number of industries including federal government, financial services, management consulting, academia, and high growth technology. His diverse perspectives are rooted in his experiences at companies such as Gartner, Bridgewater Associates, Booz Allen Hamilton, NATO, and U.S. Army. Marcos also advises cybersecurity startups on product strategy, direction, and security use cases—ensuring alignment with the current and emerging challenges of CISOs across industries and geographies. Marcos is a cybersecurity enthusiast; when not working and spending time with his family he mentors aspiring CISOs on career development.

Ian Glazer
Founder and President, Weave Identity

Ian Glazer is the founder and president of Weave Identity – an advisory services firm. Prior to founding Weave, Ian was the Senior Vice President for Identity Product Management, at Salesforce. His responsibilities include leading the product management team, product strategy and identity standards work. Earlier in his career, Ian was a research vice president and agenda manager on the Identity and Privacy Strategies team at Gartner, where he oversaw the entire team’s research.

He is a Board Emeritus and the co-founder of IDPro, and works to deliver more services and value to the IDPro membership, raise funds for the organization, and help identity management professionals learn from one another. Ian is also a Board of Directors member and cofounder of the Digital Identity Advancement Foundation, focusing on removing financial barriers to participation in the digital identity industry. During his career in the identity industry, he has co-authored a patent on federated user provisioning, co-authored and contributed to user provisioning specifications, is a noted blogger, speaker, and photographer of his socks.

Mario Duarte
VP of Security, Snowflake

Mario Duarte is a veteran security professional who has worked in the retail, health care and financial sectors for two decades. He has built and managed security teams, developed and implemented security programs and has managed PCI and HIPAA compliance initiatives for medium and large organizations.

Marty Hellman, PhD
Professor Emeritus at Stanford University, Turing and Marconi Award Winner

Marty Hellman is an American cryptologist, best known for his invention of public key cryptography in cooperation with Whitfield Diffie and Ralph Merkle. Marty serves as professor emeritus at Stanford University, and has received numerous awards and honors, including the Turing Award, considered the most prestigious award in the field of computer science, for 2015, together with Whitfield Diffie.
